Taklet
Project management for creative teams
Taklet is task and project management for creative teams: projects and workspaces, a Team Focus view for what everyone is tackling today, threaded updates with @mentions, guest organizations with scoped access, and calendars at the project and team level. Focus tasks reset at midnight so daily priorities stay real instead of turning into permanent “urgent” lists.

Stack & scope
Built for momentum
Taklet targets creative and product teams who outgrew bloated boards. The marketing story and the app share one idea: strip noise, surface what matters today, and make collaboration feel immediate instead of ceremonial.
Daily focus and projects
Inside the product, Team Focus shows what people are working on now. My Focus resets at midnight so “today” stays honest. Projects group work with emoji cues, drag and drop ordering, custom fields where teams need them, and search that stays fast as the workspace grows.
Collaboration and guests
Tasks carry status, assignments, and a comment thread with @mentions so updates stay next to the work. External studios and freelancers join as guest organizations: they only see projects and tasks you share, which keeps internal context private while still allowing real handoffs.
Calendars and delivery
Project calendars anchor milestones; the team calendar rolls deadlines into one view. The Media Standard designed and engineered Taklet end to end: the public marketing experience, the authenticated product, and the polish layers (notifications, personal tasks, accessibility-minded UI) that make it feel production ready on day one.
The Process
We shipped Taklet as a product: validate the focus reset metaphor with real teams, pair marketing clarity with in-app UX, and keep performance and permissions strict as collaboration spans companies.
Discovery
Interviewed creative leads and operators on how they plan a day, how guests should see work, and where calendars break down. Mapped workspaces, projects, focus rules, and permission edges before visual design.
Design
Visual and interaction design for marketing pages, app shell, focus surfaces, task detail, guest access, and calendar views. Established motion, density, and dark-mode parity so the product matches the brand story on taklet.com.
Build & ship
Full-stack implementation on Next.js: auth, real-time updates, organization and guest models, calendar data, notifications, and deployment on infrastructure tuned for fast global delivery.
